This site is run by Jordan Licausi ("Jordan", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information jordanhitz.com collects, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and what we do collect, we don't share or sell.
What we collect
Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address, the date and time you subscribed, and the IP address you subscribed from. The IP address is kept solely to prevent spam and abuse of the signup form. That's the complete list — this site has no user accounts, no comment system, and no analytics trackers of its own.
Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. These are managed by Hostinger under their own retention rules and we don't use them to identify you.
How we use it
Your email address is used for one thing: sending you the newsletter you signed up for. We don't sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to anything else. When a new signup comes in, a notification is sent to our team inbox so we know the list is growing — that's the only place your email travels.
Where it lives and how long
Subscriber data is stored in an access-protected file on our web server, hosted by Hostinger. We keep it for as long as you're subscribed. Every newsletter we send includes a way to unsubscribe; you can also email us at any time (address below) and we'll delete your data, normally within 30 days.
Third-party services on this site
TikTok embeds. The Watch page displays videos embedded from TikTok. When those load, your browser communicates directly with TikTok's servers, and TikTok may set cookies or collect data about you under its own privacy policy. We don't control or receive that data. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when fetching them. Google's use of this data is described in its privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. Since the only thing we'd hold is your newsletter signup, exercising these rights is usually as simple as one email. We will never discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed to the newsletter, contact us and we'll delete the entry promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be announced in the newsletter itself.
